Janice N. Elder

Janice N. Elder, 73, of Saluda, NC passed away on December 25, 2021.

Janice was born in Banner Elk, NC on January 23, 1948, to the late Roger Nix and Carlyne Clayton.  Janice is also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Charles Elder; daughter, Heather Elder Edney; and sister, Ann Jones.

Janice loved taking care of others and spent over 30 years as a CNA in home healthcare nursing.  When Janice wasn’t working or taking care of her family, she enjoyed reading, watching TV, and visiting with family.

Janice is survived by her sons, Chris Elder and Andrew Elder (Heather); grandchildren, McKenzie Edney, CJ Elder, Madeline Edney, Ashton Griffin, and Finley Elder; great-grandchildren, Judah Edwards and Rosahleigh Edwards.  Janice is also survived by her nieces, Gina Breedlove and Donna Breedlove Travis.

A funeral service will be held at Shuler Funeral Home in Hendersonville, NC on Monday, January 3, 2022, at 1PM with the interment and graveside service to follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
