Jane E. Henricksen

Jane E. Henricksen, age 81 of Oswego, IL passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Season’s Hospice in Naperville, IL surrounded by family. She was born on May 23, 1940 in Zanesville, OH the daughter of George Clare and Maude (Scott) Miller.

Jane was a loving, caring and forgiving wife, a nurturing, supportive and compassionate mother, grandmother and aunt. As a comforting friend, she always showed genuine interest and warmth towards everyone in her life. Her family and her deep faith in God were her life. She was a woman who held fast to her beliefs and was an angel on earth who is now home in Heaven.

Jane was united in marriage on September 24, 1961 to Dale Henricksen and they spent the next 60 years happily married together. Jane was a longtime and active member of Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL, where she was a member of the church choir and served on altar guild for 30 years. She was a Registered Nurse having graduated in 1961 from the Copley School of Nursing. Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed but easily remembered and cherished by her family and many friends.

Jane is survived by her husband, Dale Henricksen of Oswego, IL; her children, Dawn (Andrew) Cantore of Glen Ellyn, IL, Diane (Chuck) Corbett of Oswego, IL and Joe (Heather) Henricksen of Oswego, IL; her grandchildren, Alyssa and Joseph Cantore, Rebecca and Owen Corbett; her siblings, Joanne (Neil) Witt of Custer, SD and Loren (Rhonda) Miller of Yorkville, IL; her sisters-in-law, Kay Miller of Oswego, IL and Marilyn Miller of Noblesville, IN; also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Clare and Maude Miller; her siblings, Bryce, Dennis and Babe Miller and Rebecca Olson.

A special heartfelt thank you from the Henricksen family to the loving caretakers Maria, Sharon and Brandi and, especially, Carol, who became a dear, tender friend to Jane during her two and a half years of taking care of our mom and wife.

A private Graveside Funeral Service will be held at Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Yorkville, IL with Pastor Eric Gauss, officiating.
