James Thomas McCormick, 52, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, 4:00-7:00 pm, at the Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, 1221 First Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405.

James was born May 26, 1971, in Iowa City to James E. and Rosa McCormick. He was a graduate of Prairie High School, Kirkwood Community College, and Mt. Mercy College. He worked for the VA Medical Center.

He enjoyed all sports, especially baseball, and fishing.

James is survived by his daughter, Casey; mother, Rosa (Harlin) Andresen; brother, Mike; good friend, Darin; and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, James; grandparents, Seward and Nancy Coppess and James and Geneva McCormick.
