James R. Kingsley

James Kingsley, 86, of Mt. Prospect passed away on December 12, 2021. Beloved husband of Theresa, nee Shuryan. Loving father to Tim (Cindy) and Cheryl (John) Lownds. Proud grandfather to Brittany, Kendall and Connor. Cherished brother of the late Jerry (Sandy). James will be missed by many friends and family.  James was an incredibly patient man, thoughtful and cared deeply for his family. As an electrical engineer by trade, he had a strong work ethic.   He was a proud, hard-working, thoughtful man and always willing to help.  James had many interests; he was an  avid fisherman, intricate woodworker , and gardener. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 17 from 3-8pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine IL 60067. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 18 at Smith-Corcoran with visitation at  9am-10am, followed by a procession to the Service at 10:30 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 855 Lee Street, Des Plaines, IL. Interment All Saints Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to EndPolio.org in memory of James.
