James “JD” Dean Snell

James “JD” Dean Snell, 27, of Springfield, died on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born October 28, 1993 to Jim Snell and Angie (Huston) Boston.

Surviving him include his parents; step-father, Scott Boston; two sisters, Baylee (Jacob) Feser of Edinburg, and Allie (Max) Neal of Palmyra; one brother, Justin Boston of Edinburg; grandparents, Jim and Merry Snell of Springfield, Pam Huston of Edinburg, and Cindy Boston of Virginia, IL; great-grandmother, Beulah Huston of Springfield; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved fur-baby, Shasta.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Dean Huston; and great-grandparents, Bud and Ruth Snell.

JD was a resident of Springfield and Edinburg for all his life. He worked at JTS Maintenance and Remodeling as a contractor with his father. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

He was an avid dirt bike rider, enjoying the adrenaline rush that it brought. He enjoyed audio-visual installations in cars and video games, and was known by his family as a comedian.

Private services are being held by the family.
