James Curtis Motes

James Curtis Motes, 59, of Hendersonville died Monday, July 12, 2021 at his home.

A native of Clinton, SC, he was a son of Betty G. Motes and the late James L. Motes.  In addition to his mother, he is survived by eight children; a brother, Larry Motes and wife, Jana of Greenville, SC; and a large, loving family and number of close friends.

James bequeathed his body to the University of Tennessee, and no public funeral service will be held.  A memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
