James Allen “Jimmy” Deibel, Jr.

James Allen “Jimmy” Deibel, Jr., 56, of Dennison, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Born in Dover, Jimmy, had attended Dover High School and was an honorably discharged veteran having served with the United States Army. He was currently employed by Timken Steel at Canton where he worked in the maintenance department.

Jimmy was a life member of the Carl C. Stoller Post 1445 of the New Philadelphia Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the New Philadelphia AmVets. He also loved playing cornhole and had participated in a number of cornhole tournaments.

Jimmy is survived by his father and step-mother, James. A. “Jim” Deibel, Sr. and Judy Swinehart of Dover; two daughters; Stephanie (Jason) Wood of Strasburg and JeriLynn Deibel of New Orleans, Louisiana; his granddaughter, Zoey Renee Wood of Strasburg; his companion, Doris and his faithful dogs, Jax and Harley. His mother, Judy (Belknap) Poorman and two sisters, Jody Deibel and Jeanne Deibel precede him in death.

In keeping with his wishes, Jimmy is to be cremated through the care of the Geib Funeral Center and Crematory at Dover and no visitation or services are to be scheduled.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Carl C. Stoller Post 1445, New Philadelphia Veterans of Foreign Wars, P.O. Box 605, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
