Jacquelyn June Powell

Jacquelyn June Powell, 91, of Granbury, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021.  Service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 3, 2021, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury, Graveside service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 4, 2021, Sunset Memorial Park, San Antonio, Texas, Visitation: 1:00 PM –service time, Wednesday, March 3, 2021, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury.

Jacquelyn was born on June 8, 1929 in Sacramento, California to Fred and Flora Kroepelin.  She was married to Howard Powell.

Jacquelyn and Howard enjoyed travelling around the country in their Airstream trailer.  They were avid members of the Airstream travel club, and some of their favorite trips were to Alaska and Mexico.  Later they traded their Airstream for a motorhome.  Their trips entailed all of the 50 states.

Jacquelyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She had a servant’s heart and she liked helping people.  She was an active member of First Christian Church since 1998.  She was very involved helping with church bereavement dinners and church decorations.

Jacquelyn enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing cards, and playing the organ.  She was preceded in death by her husband: Howard Powell and her daughter Evelyn.

Jacquelyn is survived by her children: Howard “Doug” Powell, and Fred Sneathern, grandson: Marty Sneathern, sister: Pat Pritchard, and nephews: David Pritchard and Matthew Pritchard.

She will be terribly missed by many friends.
