Ireneo “Rene” Castillo, of Chicago. Beloved husband of Luzonica, nee Mercado, for 52 wonderful years. Devoted father to Eric Castillo and Edwin Castillo. Loving brother to Sandy (Tita) and Virginia (the late Mer) Gamboa. Dear brother-in-law to Digna Capuz. Preceded in death by his parents Alfonso and Maximina Castillo. Beloved Uncle, cousin and friend to many. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to play Mahjong. A visitation will be held Sunday, July 18, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Chicago IL from 4:00-8:00pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Padre Pio at St. Hilary Parish, 5601 N. California Ave, Chicago, IL at 10:00am. Interment private.
