Helen J. Herrington

Helen J. Herrington, age 92 of Plano, IL passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL. She was born on September 21, 1929 in WI the daughter of Edwin and Helen (Paulson) Gilkey.

Helen was united in marriage to Mr. Odas Herrington and they spent many happy years together until his passing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Helen is survived by her children, Gayle Farran of Montgomery, IL, Jeff (Gloria) Gordon of Elburn, IL, Kris (Tim) Edwards of Plano, IL, Judy Plique of IL, Raymond Lawson of CA, and William Herrington of Yorkville, IL; her 11 grandchildren; also several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Helen Gilkey; her husband, Odas Herrington; her daughter, Geri Crete; also 2 brothers and 1 sister.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at a later date.
