Helen Gertrude Anderson, 95, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Dec. 17, 2022, at her home. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, with visitation to begin at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

Helen was born July 25, 1927, in East Moline, Ill., the daughter of Clarence and Ruth (Jasper) Bobb. She graduated from United Township High School. Helen was united in marriage to Paul L. Anderson Sr. on Dec. 19, 1945, in Moline, Ill., and they were married for 54 years. She was a member of the Huss Presbyterian Church for many years. Helen loved going for walks, baking, attending events for her grand- and great-grandchildren, like dance recitals, band and choir concerts, and theater. She loved her family very much and they meant everything to her. Helen was such a kind and loving woman. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Survivors include her children, Larry (Dena) Anderson, Diana (Mike) Michalec, Cheryl Slaughter, Linda Brown, Paul (Tina) Anderson Jr. and Tim (Trish) Anderson; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; grandson, Derek Anderson; great-granddaughter, Arionna May; great-great-grandson, Isaac Harris; parents; two sisters; and two brothers.
