Helen Emma Tengler

Helen Emma Tengler, 99, of Springfield, died at 11:20 am, Monday, April 5, 2021 at her home. She was born April 26, 1921 in Springfield, to Adam and Emma (Bojarzin) Cycholl. She married Harold L. Tengler, Sr. on September 16, 1941 and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1990.

Survivors include one daughter, Arlene (David) Grubb of Rochester; one son, Harold “OZ” (Sharon) Tengler of Springfield; four grandchildren, Chad (Catie) Tengler, Stacy (Jimmie) Stoppleworth, Courtney (Bill) Peters and Erika (Brian) Metz; four great grandchildren, Katelin, Caroline, Wyatt and Will Peters and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Helen was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Visitation: 10 – 11:30 am, Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Busboom officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
