Harry E. Litchfield, III

Harry E. Litchfield, III, died unexpectantly but peacefully on December 14th, 2022, at his home in Yorkville, Illinois. He was born August 30, 1943, in Taunton, Massachusetts to Harry E and Gretta E Litchfield, Jr.

He married Jacqueline B Thomas in 1973 in Flushing, Michigan.  He received his BA Degree from The College of William and Mary in 1965; and his MA Degree from Michigan State University in 1972. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran. His career in management and leadership development spanned over forty years with General Motors, Deere & Company, and independent consulting. Major activities included board membership on the Illinois State Board of Education, Illowa Council Boy Scouts of America, and the Institute of Management Studies. He held national offices in Sigma Chi Fraternity. He enjoyed gardening, travel, public service, and volunteering.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie; sons, Matthew (Rachel) and Thomas (Yensy); grandchildren, Ellie (Tyler) and Matthew Jr; Halle and Andrea and Alaina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Christine, and sister-in-law Martha.

All services will be private with Interment taking place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.

Memorials can be made to the Lupus Foundation of America or the Rock Island County Animal Shelter.
