Grace Elizabeth Kulavic

It is with broken hearts, we announce that Grace Elizabeth Kulavic, age 26, of Springfield, our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, family member and friend passed away suddenly on Friday, September 30, 2022 at her home. She was born on August 1, 1996 in Springfield, the daughter of Anthony C. and Debra (Macklin) Kulavic.

She is survived by her father, Anthony C. (Kayla) Kulavic and mother, Debra (P.J. Heinen) Macklin Kulavic, both of Springfield; four siblings, Brent (Lauren) Kulavic, Nicholas (Charlie Garza) Kulavic, Abigail (Clayton Otto) Kulavic and William Edwards; two nieces, Hayden and Piper Kulavic; grandmother, Marion Boston and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Judy and Dave Shipley and Francis and Viola Kulavic.

Grace loved so many, but was loved by so many more. Whether you knew her well or barely at all, she left a mark. She cherished spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was spending every possible moment with her two nieces, Hayden and Piper. She was their angel on earth and she’ll continue from heaven.

Grace was a graduate of Pleasant Plains High School where she played softball, golf and basketball. She was in her final semester at Lincoln Land Community College with dreams and aspirations
of becoming an early childhood educator. She was a camp counselor at Nelson Center for five years and worked as a nanny for various families over the years. “Gracie Girl” enjoyed going to concerts with her friends, loved her dog Henry and cat George, and was truly the life of every party.
