Georgia Emmerling

On February 13, 2022, Georgia Jean (Ambrosia) Emmerling ascended to heaven. She was the beloved wife of the late Chester “Jack” Emmerling. She was a devoted mother to Scott Emmerling (Cindy). She was a doting grandmother to Kayla and Rachel; doting Aunt to Stephanie Yates and Jessica Yates; & proud Great Aunt to Damien. She was an outstanding friend to many. Georgia was a fun loving person with a heart of gold. She was spunky & sassy & had an amazing sense of humor. She loved babies & volunteered in her church’s nursery. She was welcoming & hospitable & opened her house to her neighbors, family & friends always inviting others in for food. Being 100% Italian, she truly made the best lasagna ever! Georgia loved to shop & had a huge teddy bear collection. Georgia lived her life generously. She was a Chicago Cubs nut! One of her favorite moments ever was seeing her beloved Cubbies win the World Series.

We’d like to thank all who were her dear friends & who played an important role in her life. We are grateful for the many people who loved her & stepped up as her helpers over the past few years. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the summer.
