Georgia E. Hutmacher

Georgia E. Hutmacher, 91, of Springfield, died at 9:50 am, Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Springfield Memorial Hospital.  She was born September 14, 1930 in Taylor, MO to George R. and Lula Mae (Hinch) Eales.  She married Frank “Sonny” R. Hutmacher on October 15, 1947, and he preceded her in death on November 9, 2017.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Hutmacher and Christine Hutmacher, both of Springfield; one son, Jerald (Carla) Hutmacher of Petersburg; four grandchildren, Jeremy Smith of Mechanicsburg, Jason Smith of Greenville, MI, Jeff (Marlene) Hutmacher of Fowlerville, MI and Scott (Katrina) Hutmacher of Glenarm; one sister, Erma Garner of Canton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; six sisters, Alene Likes, Edith Oitker, Edna Brownlee, Bertha May Hardy, Gloria Goodwin and Dorothy Kaufmann; two brothers, Lorne and George Eales and one great grandchild.

She retired in 1986 from the Consumer Fraud Department for the State of Illinois and then went on to work for the Attorney General.

Private Family Services are being held with her great nephew, Rev. Darrin Workman, officiating.

Burial will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children.
