George H. Engel M.D.
George H. Engel, M.D., age 79 of Las Vegas, NV, and of Big Rock, IL passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was born on March 14, 1942 in Chicago, IL. the son of George J. and Adeline M. (Bianco) Engel.
George was a very proud Veteran of the United States Army having served two tours as Captain with the 25th Infantry Medical Division during the war in Vietnam. He was a Bronze Star Recipient.
George was united in marriage to Asanee Akarapanich Lertsburapa, M.D. on September 5, 1973 in Elmwood Park, IL. They spent the next 47 happy years together until her passing on February 13, 2021. George practiced and taught medicine (Dermatology, dermapathology, cosmetic surgery and MOHS-micrographic surgery) for many years, in the Chicagoland area.
George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and will be deeply missed by his family and countless good friends spanning across the globe. George’s life was a life lived to the fullest. He had a great passion for traveling, history, hunting and farming.
George is survived by his children, Kathryn (Perry) of Oak Brook, IL, George J. of Oswego, IL and Anthony (Heidi) of Downers Grove, IL; his grandchildren, Maya , Giana and Caleb ; also his brother, Richard (Constance) of CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, George J and Adeline M. Engel; and his wife, Asanee Engel, M.D.
