Geni Marie Taylor

Geni Marie Taylor, 65, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 24, 1956, in Springfield, the daughter of Luther and Annabelle (Lynn) Taylor and they preceded her in death.

Survivors include her partner, Laura Ford, of Springfield; three children, Robert Miller of Springfield, Christy Stout of Rolla, MO and Amanda Trew of Illiopolis; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six siblings, Linda Ely-Armstrong (George) and Barbara (William) Coffinbarger, both of Springfield, Dick (Jenny) Taylor of Riverton, Judy Fortune, Bob (Jeanette) Taylor and Mike Taylor, all of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Geni was of the Baptist faith. She had many talents like crafting, photography, painting, and making jewelry. Geni retired from the Illinois Department of Human Services.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 – 5 pm, Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 6652 Old Route 36, Riverton, IL.

Memorial contributions may be made to Geni Taylor Memorial Fund in care of Laura Ford or Animal Protective League.
