Gena M. Kelley

Gena M. Kelley, 85 of Springfield, died at 3:20 pm, Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Heritage Health in Carlinville. She was born October 27, 1936 in Springfield, to Adrian and Alberta Moyer Turley. She married Charles W. Kelley on June 26, 1954 and he preceded her in death on November 20, 2010.

Survivors include one daughter, Beth (Junaid) Ahmed of Springfield; two sons, Mike (Sande) Kelley and Tim Kelley both of Springfield; nine grandchildren, whom she was very passionate about, Jackie, Tommy, Richard, Natasha, Michael, Matthew, Afiyah, Kari Ann and Asim; numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Thomas; three sisters and three brothers.

Gena was homemaker, greeter at Meijer and worked for fifteen years for Franklin Life Insurance Company.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Private services will be held.
