Gary Leroy Eagleson, 81, died Friday, April 12, 2024, at UIHC. A Celebration of Life to be held at Community Center, Olin City Park, Olin, IA. 4 – 7 p.m. on April 26, 2024. Placement in Little Salamoni River Cemetery at later date.

He was born June 3, 1942 in Lebanon, IN to Delbert and Doris (Rogers) Eagleson. Gary graduated Caffey High in Ontario, CA. After graduation he spent 21 years working for Montrose Chemical Company in Henderson, NV. During that time he graduated from UNLV with B.S. in Geography and B.A. in History plus a Secondary Teaching Certificate. Gary spent the next 30 years working as an Environmental and OSHA Safety Manager. Gary was quite active in various age groups in track, baseball, and basketball. He was avid golfer, having taught his current wife Rose and her 3 children how to play. He was quite proud having a lot of “little boy” left.

Gary is survived by his wife, Rose Eagleson; his children, Mark (Sally) Eagleson, Dana Bylund, Gary (Lucia) Eagleson, Matthew (Laura) Eagleson, David (Danielle) Eagleson, Eli (Nore-Onna) Eagleson; his brother, John (Nancy) Eagleson; his sister, Barbara Eagleson; stepchildren, Ken LeClere Jr., Rachel LeClere, Sara LeClere; brother-in-law Henry Castaneda, and 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Delbert (Glenna) Eagleson and Doris (Donald) Holcomb, sister Jackie Castaneda, and both sets of grandparents.
