Freda M. Neal, 91, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. She was born in Artie, West Virginia on May 16, 1930 to the late George and Ocie (Crouse) Stover.
Freda was a manager at Quick Chek for 20 years. She had a such a servants heart and always remained content and thankful in life. She was known to be a great leader and was very organized and detail oriented. Freda enjoyed shopping and was a great cook and loved making food for her family. She enjoyed having family over for meals or going out together. She was a member of Laver Road Freewill Baptist Church.
Freda is survived by her children, Larry (Darlene Leicy) Neal, Patty (Daniel) Benedict, Billy (Becki Perry) Neal and Cindi (Brent) Taylor; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother George Jr. (Janice) Stover; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Shelby Neal and 19 siblings.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 29, 2021 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 Lexington-Springmill S. Rd., Ontario, Ohio 44906. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home beginning at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Bailey officiating. She will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Laver Road Freewill Baptist Church, 998 Laver Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44905.
