Franklin Lee and Marilyn Mathias

Franklin Lee Mathias, age 86 of New Philadelphia died peacefully, early April 26, 2021, while in the care of Community Hospice’s Truman House at New Philadelphia. He joins his beloved wife, Marilyn, who preceded him in death at the age of 82, on Saturday, May 30, 2020.

Lee was born in New Philadelphia on January 26, 1935, a son of the late Earl and Mary Mathias. Marilyn was born in Cleveland on August 13, 1937, and was a daughter of the late John and Mary Miller.

The couple wed on October 5, 1957, and attended Immaculate Conception Church at Dennison.

Cremation has taken place for the couple and they will be interred in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at Dennison where Father Tom Gardner will lead a service on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 10 AM.
