Frank Junior Miller

Jack Junior Miller, 91, of Ontario, Ohio, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022. Born March 17, 1930 in Mansfield, Ohio, he was the son of George Henry and Geneva (Shrader) Miller.

For many years, Jack owned his own plastering company which kept him busy. Despite this, he still found time to tend to a farm, oversee his garden and take the family on countless hunts for mushrooms in the nearby wooded areas. Jack was always known for his wit and ability to pull a prank or two when needed.

Jack is survived by his wife of 72 years, Edna (Nickell) Miller, who resides in Ontario; his sisters, Sandy (Tom) Schaffer of Loudonville and Joy Hunt of Lexington, his dear son, Rick Miller of Shelby; grandchildren, Shannon Miller of Shelby, Jason Miller of Bowling Green, Ohio and Erin (Scott) Roberts of Shelby; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brothers George C., Rex, Nelson and Shirley; a sister Gretchen; and a beloved son, Ron.

There will be a small graveside service held for immediate family members at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lexington, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation, PO Box 668, Circleville, OH 43113.
The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
