Evelyn M. Ellis

Evelyn M. Ellis, 85, of Chatham, died at 11:07 pm, Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at her home. She was born December 7, 1935, in Chatham, to Paul and Irene Brawner Clark. She married Gilbert Ellis on December 11, 1955, and he preceded her in death on January 12, 1997.

Survivors include two daughters, Ellyn Ellis of Chatham and Gayla Dicken of Athens; six grandchildren, Cara Ellis, Shannon (Matthew) Lyons, Kelsea Ellis, Shelby Ellis, Christopher Dicken and Rhiannon (Michael) Sanders; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Maxine (Thomas) Lederbrand of Pawnee; one brother, Frank (Mary) Clark of Sun City, AZ, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and two sisters, Margaret Lindsay and Sharon Pierce.

Evelyn was a homemaker and co-owner of Gilbert Beauty Salon.

Per Evelyn’s request no services will be held. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
