Emma  Louise Ammons

Emma Louise Ammons (nee Landrum) was born February 4, 1942 to Jennie Louise Jackson and JM Landrum in Leesburg, Alabama. She was raised by her loving grandparents, Simmie and Louise Jackson in Pollards Ben, Alabama where she accepted Christ at an early age.

She graduated from Hatcher High School in 1960 where she met the love of her life, James Ammons Jr. They married in July 1962 and soon moved to Cleveland, Ohio to start their new life together. To this union, two daughters were born: Regina Dinkins and Diedra Ammons. Most of her life, she was a stay-at-home mom, but also held jobs in hospitality and metal finishing.

Emma was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, traveling, working in her yard, working at the church and good friends. She was an excellent baker and cook. Her cakes and banana pudding were loved and enjoyed by all. She spent the last several years caring for her husband of 61 years.
