Elnora ’Ellie’ Week Obituary

Elnora “Ellie” Week
June 21, 1927 – January 7, 2023
Elnora (Meyer) Week, age 95, was the second of three daughters of Fred and Magdalena Meyer in rural Henry County, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, older sister Dorothy (Seeman) and her younger sister Judy (Seider). Her husband John Arnold Week on July 8, 2004. Arnold left for the Korean War two days later. Ellie and Arnold were lovers of Schnauzers and traveling.

Ellie worked as a Senior Legal Secretary and as a Worker’s Compensation Specialist III for the state of Nevada for 15 years. Ellie resided in the Washoe Valley and Carson City, Nevada where she and Arnold attended St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two nieces and three nephews: Vickie L. McFarlin, Thomas H. Seeman, Jeanette C. Seeman, Kevin J. Seeman and David L. Seider. There are also numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews and many cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to go to the Paws for Purple Hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 28, 2023 at 11:00 am at Shepard of the Sierra Lutheran 3680 U.S. Highway 395 South, Carson City NV 89705, behind Best Buy.
