Dwight W. “Rhody” Rhodeback

Dwight W. “Rhody” Rhodeback, 93, of Dover, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 in New Dawn Retirement Community at Dover, following a period of declining health.

Rhody retired from the Ford Motor Company at Canton and was also a veteran having served with the United States Navy. An avid fisherman and fan of Ohio State Football, he loved Formula One racing and polka dancing with his wife.

Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Joanne E. (Pizzini) Rhodeback, his children, Jerry (Dinah) Rhodeback of Florida, Christine (Michael) Kohler of Granbury, Texas and Bill (Ruth Ann) Rogers, Joe (Karen) Rogers and Sally (Don) Warner all of New Philadelphia; ten grandchildren, Karlye, Danny, John, Jennifer, Michael II, Billie Jo, Joshua, Tyler, Nikki and Katie and many great grandchildren.

In keeping with his wishes, Rhody is to be cremated through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and no public services are to be scheduled.

The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the United Way of Tuscarawas County.
