Dwayne William Collman, age 87 of Yorkville, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Accent Care Hospice in Naperville, IL surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 7, 1934 in Kendall County, IL the son of Olney and Elsie (Jacobs) Collman.

Dwayne was united in marriage on November 3, 1972 to the former Kathryn Weis Gengler and they spent the next 49 years happily together. He was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family that was the most important part of Dwayne’s life.

Dwayne was a 1953 graduate of West Aurora High School. Mr. Collman was employed for many years by Allsteel in Aurora, IL until his retirement. He was a member of the Lucky 50 Club in Montgomery, IL. Dwayne loved riding his yellow Honda Goldwing motorcycle, taking road trips, as well as hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Collman of Yorkville, IL; his children, Charles F. Collman of Arden, NC, Brian Collman of Las Vegas, NV, and Brenda Martin of St. Petersburg, FL; his step-children, Steve (Linda) Gengler of Yorkville, IL, Chuck (Lakshma) Gengler of Wilmington, DE, Susan (Brian Maloney) Bohan of Freemont, CA; his grandchildren, Marlene Wakelin, Amber (Adam) Tripoli, Scott (Amy) Gengler, Matt (Allison) Gengler, Katie (Brendon) Pierce, Peter (Julie) Gengler, Josh (Hadley) Gengler, Natasha Gengler, Rebecca Carroll, and Amy (Gary) Heersche; his great-grandchildren, Chloe and Quinn Campbell, Sawyer Gengler, Haley and Ryan Gengler, Millie and Stella Pierce, Joey and Tiffany Gengler, Gabby and Ted Kim, and Joey and Kayla Tripoli; and his sister Helaine Van Bibber of Mt. Pleasant, IA; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olney and Elsie Collman; his sons, Mark and Jeffrey Collman; and his brothers, LeRoy, Howard, Clifford and Ivan Collman.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL with Pastor Michael Neel officiating. Interment will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Yorkville, IL.

Friends may visit from 9:30 AM until the Hour of Service on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 10104 Immanuel Road, Yorkville, IL.

Memorials in Dwayne’s name may be directed to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
