Douglas “Doug” L. Spradlin
Douglas “Doug” L. Spradlin, 57, of Greenville, died at 10:23 pm, Monday, October 17, 2022, at St. John’s Hospital. He was born May 29, 1965 in Rantoul to Lee and Leona (Smith) Spradlin.
He is survived by one son, Clint (Brook) Spradlin of Haigler, NE; one grandson, Braxton; mother, Leona Spradlin of Springfield; one sister, Kim (Andy) Wassell of Springfield; one niece, Kylee (Tim) Denney of Springfield; one great nephew, Grady Denney and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; one grandson, Kash Spradlin and one nephew, Zach Wassell.
Doug received his associates degree in animal science from Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, KS. He retired from Greenville Federal Prison where he served as a prison guard for more than twenty years and then went on to work for Allied Universal Security.
He attended First Christian Church in Greenville. He enjoyed riding horses and attending rodeos. He was a great animal lover.
Cremation rites were accorded by Staab Funeral Home.
