Dorothy Durkin, nee Schmugge, age 94, beloved wife of the late John T. Durkin. Loving mother of Ann (John) Keating, Dan (Anna) Durkin, Jane Durkin and Margaret (Jim) Roche. Cherished grandmother of Betsy and Jack Keating, Anna (Bryce Swillum) and Sam Durkin, Jenny and Ryan Fruin, and Mary Pat, Katie, Mike and the late Patrick Roche. Great-grandmother to Rosie, Isla and Sloane. Fond sister of Jerry (the late Evelyn) Schmugge, Barbara (Joe) Schiavone, Tom (Sue) Schmugge and the late Bob (Dolores) Schmugge. Dear friend and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a pioneering physical therapist, avid gardener and held a life-long passion for travel. She was a proud member of St. Mary of the Woods Parish for over 55 years. Visitation Saturday, December 4 from 10am until the time of the funeral Mass at 11am at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, 7033 N Moselle Ave, Chicago, IL 60646.
