Dorothea Upshaw

Dorothea Upshaw, 99, of Williamsburg, passed away on February 11, 2022.

Dorothea loved her family, and cherished the time she spent with them. She loved to travel, enjoyed spending time outdoors, and could often be found working in her garden or bird watching.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Millard Upshaw; siblings, Richard Horton, Loretta Adams, Hilda Pauline Swick, and Charles Horton. Dorothea is survived by her children, Christy Rudisill and husband, William Barker, Kathy Balanis, and husband George Balanis, Jeanne Derham, and husband Gerald Derham; grandchildren, Bret Rudisill, Kurt Rudisill, Rod Balanis, Bridget McEachern, John Derham, and Catherine Derham; and great-grandchildren, Rilee Rudisill, Madelyn Rudisill, Kruse Rudisill, Knox Rudisill, Drew Balanis, Luke Balanis, Teddy Balanis, Ethan McEachern, Ali McEachern, Devin Hicks; and Kaden Lane.A graveside service will be held at a later date at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Carlisle, Ohio.
