Donna Marie Leach, 73, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away peacefully at the University of Iowa Hospital on April 15, 2023. She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to parents Leo and Lavon Leach on April 14, 1950. She was part of a large family with four siblings and was known for her work ethic, giving nature, and love for family. She was a graduate of George Washington High School in 1969 and spent many years working in manufacturing and retail in the Cedar Rapids area, ultimately retiring from Walgreens in 2014. She was a lifelong resident of Iowa, leaving Cedar Rapids in the early 2000s to relocate to Des Moines and then to Bettendorf to help care for her granddaughters, Olivia and Julia Leach, whom she loved greatly.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Lavon Leach, sister Barb Smith, brother-in-law John Kidd, and brother Rick Leach. She is survived by her sister Sharon Knowles, her sister Jackie Doolin, her son James Leach (Hillary), granddaughters Olivia and Julia Leach, and grandsons Theodore and Camden Leach. She will be missed by friends and family. She will be celebrated with a private service at a later date.
