Donna LoPresti-McWeeny

Donna LoPresti-McWeeny, 87 passed away on January 25th, 2022. Born in Chicago in 1934, she was the devoted daughter of Daniel and Lucille LoPresti. She graduated from Rosary College in 1957 with a degree in Music. In 2002 she married her beloved husband Patrick McWeeny and gained a stepdaughter, Lisa McWeeny. Donna loved being a part of a large Italian family and had many wonderful times with all her cousins, Aunts and Uncles from the LoPresti and Leo families. She worked as a bookkeeper for the family business, LoPresti & Company, importers of food from Italy. An accomplished piano player, Donna became a piano teacher later in life. She was a devout Catholic and active member of St Mary of the Woods Parish for over 40 years. Music was Donna’s first love, but she enjoyed all cultural pursuits. She loved jewelry and high fashion and always looking her best. Donna had many wonderful friends who brought her great joy. She traveled the world with her husband, family and friends and led a very full life. Visitation Friday, February 4th, 3PM to 8PM, Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N Cicero Avenue, Chicago. Funeral Mass Saturday, February 5th, 10:30AM, St. Mary of the Woods Church, 7033 N Moselle Ave, Chicago. A livestream link will be available at www.SMOW.org.
