Donald Frank Teply, 92, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the Woodlands. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2025, St. Ludmila Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, with a visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. Private family Burial: St. John’s Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East is assisting the family with services.

Don was born on June 2, 1933, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Frank and Hanna (Hilmer) Teply. He was united in marriage to Judy Jecmenek, his high school sweetheart, on June 25, 1955, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, 70 years of marriage in June.

Don served honorably in the United States Army.

Don is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Michael (Patti) Teply, Mark (Patty) Teply, Matthew (Barb) Teply, and Martin (Maria) Teply; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Teply; sister-in-law, Suzy Wilbur; special niece, Julie; many relatives and friends, especially Dennis and Michele Walker.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Bob Sommers, Betty Jean Hass, and Glenn Teply.
