Dillard Kenneth  Johnson

Dillard Kenneth Johnson age 84, a caring husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and affectionately known to his friends as (DJ) and his grandchildren as (PAPA). Dillard’s life journey began on July 3rd, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Grover Johnson and Clara Johnson-Parker. He was born the youngest of 3 children. His sister Mildred Elston and brother Leonard Johnson proceeded him in death. Dillard acknowledged Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was Baptized the summer of 1950 at Holy Trinity Saint Edwards where he also attended elementary school. Dillard continued the remainder of his education in the Catholic School system.

 

Dillard met and fell happily in love with Grace Evelyn Jackson whom shortly after, he made Mrs. Johnson on January 17, 1956. The two remained married for forty-seven years until her passing. Out of their union five beautiful children were born, Theodora Grace Baker (Jerome), Cheir Linda Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Sheila Marie Johnson, and Angela Mildred Johnson. Grace and Kenneth welcomed Dillard with open arms, as they both proceeded him in death.

 

While enjoying his new life with his beautiful bride, Dillard devoted 18 years with Industrial Tires where he went on to retire as Lead Operations Manager. As he navigated through life, he found a true love and passion for motorcycles.  Dillard along with several friends founded The Old Timers Bikers Club. He also served on the Board of Trustee alongside his wife for the Gold Wing Riders association. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and traveling the world on his motorcycle with his wife.

 

Dillard Kenneth Johnson entered sweet rest on January 18, 2022. He leaves to mourn his passing but cherish great memories of his life: four devoted daughters, Theodora Grace Baker (Jerome), Cheir Linda Johnson, Sheila Marie Johnson, and Angela Mildred Johnson. Grandchildren: Sean Miller, Lashana Boyd, Antwaun Boyd, Lundon Boyd (Rebecca), Autumn Boyd, Jamahl Baker, Janaia Glover, DeVonte Johnson, Bria Baker, and Jerome Baker Jr. Twenty-one great grandchildren, niece Clara Johnson-Hawkins, a host of In-laws, nieces, nephews, Good Friends Edward and BJ Raiford, Honorary Sons Andre and Steven Payten and Honorary Grandsons Wayne Martin and Philip Sains.
