On August 29, 1981, Dennis was united in marriage to Linda Henderson at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Marion. He worked for 30 years at Rockwell before spending 15 years at Wabtec Railway Electronics as a systems engineer, until retirement on October 14, 2014. Dennis could always be found at the club house playing bridge, at Kelly Greens club house or on the golf course. He was well known as a great trivia player. Although Dennis was an Iowa State graduate and fan, he loved being a train conductor on the Hawkeye Express on game days. Dennis was a very gentle man, being known for his honesty and integrity. He really enjoyed being a grandpa and great grandpa. Dennis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
