Dennis D. Stevens

Dennis D. Stevens, 68, of Pleasant Plains, died at 4:05 pm, Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born August 29, 1953, in Springfield, to Oramel and Florence Braker Stevens. He married Kathie Farley on January 15, 1993 and she survives.

Also Surviving are four children, Jeremy (Jessica) Stevens of Pleasant Plains, Ramona (Andrew) Martin of Illiopolis, Rachael (Ken) Forren of Pleasant Plains, and Lottie Stevens of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Carson and Ava Stevens, Hannah, Hunter, Owen, and Noah Martin, and Paul Jr. and Grace Zink; one sister, Donna (Mike) Burk of Dennis, MS; one brother, Dale (Ruth) Stevens of Grimes, IA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dennis was a member of West Side Christian Church, Sangamon County Farm Bureau Board, RCM Elevator Board, and For One Drama Ministry. He served many years as a Sunday School Teacher.

He received his Associates of AG Mechanics from Lincoln Land Community College and was a lifelong Farmer.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Friday, September 10, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Reverend Clifton Cowan officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
