Demetri “Jimmy” Konstantelos, age 83, of Chicago. Loving son of the late Gus and Jeannie Konstantelos. Beloved husband of Diane, née Manolis for 57 glorious years. Devoted father to Dean (Joni) Konstantelos, Christopher (Mark Joslyn) Konstantelos, and Eleni ( Evan Arena) Konstantelos. Cherished Papou to Olivia, Audrey, Evelyn and Chloe. Dearest brother to the late Harold (Kiki) Konstantelos, Yvonne (Steve O’Malley) Sito, Fritzy Konstantelos Annette (James) Starr and the late Eleni Konstantelos. Fond brother-in-law of the late Deane (Nancy) Manolis. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Aside from being very involved with Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, other accomplishments of Jim were: President of the Chicago JC’s 1971/1972 and an active member for many years; Member of the Chicago Manpower Planning Council; Appointed to Chicago Human Relations Commission; Commissioner for the Zoning Board of Appeals for 16 years; Founding member of Chicago Branch of Reading Is Fundamental; Retired as VP of CMC Heartland Partners Real Estate Department. But his biggest accomplishment was his family, whom he loved and was so loved in return. A visitation will be held Saturday, April 10th from 9:00-11:30 Smith Corcoran Funeral Home 6150 N.
