Della Marie Barnwell

Della Marie Barnwell, 92, of Hendersonville, NC passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at her son’s residence in Bryceville, FL.

Della was born on June 11, 1929, in South Carolina to the late John and Molly Pruitt. Della is also preceded in death by her husband Columbus, and daughter, Wanda.

Della lived her entire adult life in Hendersonville, NC, but lived the last four years with her son, Roger in Bryceville, FL. Della was a skilled seamstress and retired from Diamond Brand. She was an active member of Apple Valley Church of God. Della loved gardening, flowers, and her chickens. She also loved to sing and praise her Lord.

Della is survived by her daughters, Della Dodson (Ronald) of Weaverville, NC, Linda Stamey (Troy) of Rosman, NC, and Peggy Wright (Willie) of Callahan, FL; Sons, CR Barnwell (Josie) of Zirconia, NC, Roger Barnwell (Beverly) of Bryceville, FL, and Roy Barnwell, of Hendersonville, NC; Grandchildren, Kimberly Ward (Bobby), Troyce Stamey (Sonya), Joey Dodson (Katrina), Trena Allman (Paul), Kevin Dodson (Sydney), Adam Barnwell, Amber McKinney (Bart), Dean Craig (Jennifer), Mendy Morgan (Robert), Austin Barnwell, Josh Barnwell (Carol), Ashley Barnwell, and Misty Barnwell McHenry (Josh). Della is also survived by 11 great-great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Apple Valley Church of God, in Hendersonville, NC, on Friday, July 16, 2021, at 12:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 1PM. Rev. Don Littleton is officiating. The interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Reception immediately following at Apple Valley Church of God.
