Danny L. Ward

Danny L. Ward, 72, of Dover, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 24, 2022 in Mercy New Life Hospice at Lorain after a period of declining health.

Born in Canton, he was the son of the late Roger Ward and Elaine Ward-Gintz and a graduate of Dover High School at Dover. He was an honorably discharged veteran having served with the United States Army during Vietnam and a retired truck driver.

A member of the New Philadelphia VFW Post 1445 and a frequent patron of the Bob Evans Restaurant at Dover, he was also an avid fisherman, hunter and animal lover.

Surviving is his niece, Christine Shaffer and her boyfriend, Joel Perez both of New Philadelphia; his nephew, Robert McCoy of Akron and numerous other extended relatives.

In keeping with his wishes, he is to be cremated trough the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and no public services are to be scheduled.
