Danny Glenn Wilson
Danny Glenn Wilson, 81, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. The son of the late Edward Wilson of Mason, WV, he was born on September 26, 1940 in Point Pleasant, WV and later moved to Ohio, residing in Mansfield.
Danny attended Lexington Schools and received his GED while proudly serving in the U.S. Navy. He worked most of his adult life in Indiana as a Pepsi Salesman and after retirement, moved back to Mansfield. Danny was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved playing Bingo at the senior centers and Canasta all his life.
Danny is survived by his wife, Betty (Gilbert) Wilson; daughter, Cindy Schneider of Benson, NC; sons, Darrin Wilson and Danny Wilson II both of Muncie, IN; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward and son, Marcus Wilson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, Ohio 44902. A memorial service will follow beginning at 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery where military honors will be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
