Danny Curley, 76, of Clarence passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at his home.

A visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 pm on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Dawson Funeral Services in Olin. His funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 12 at Dawson Funeral Services in Olin with Rev. Ron Lashmit officiating. Burial with military honors will be held at the Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction.

Danny was born on December 27, 1947 in Oxford Junction to Raymond and Anna (Leslie) Curley. He graduated from Clarence Community High School and went on to faithfully and honorably serve in the United States Army. On September 4, 1971 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Kathy Onstott at the Four Square Church in Tipton. He worked for Clinton Engines, Bahl Lumber and IAC. Danny was a member of the American Legion Wapsi Post #473 and the Anamosa Bow Hunters Association. He loved spending his time outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. Danny was proud of his ’57 Chevy and entered it in several car shows over the years. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and powder coating many different items.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Kathy, three children; Scott Curley of Marion, Matthew (Nicole) Curley of Lowden, Nicholas (Nicole) Curley of Clarence, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and his siblings; Elizabeth Minchew, Peggy (Chuck) Wolfe, Bonnie Kuehl, Mary Score, Lyle (Gwen) Curley, Wayne Curley, his twin brother Dennis (Diane) Curley and Rex Curley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; Raymond Jr., Arnold, Keith, Larry, three sisters; Beverly, Marjorie, Marsha, and a son Joel.
