Cynthia G. Shewmaker

Cynthia G. Shewmaker, 74, of Springfield, died on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Reflections Memory Care in Chatham. She was born December 22, 1947 in Decatur, IL to Keith L. and Clara Lu Shewmaker.

She is survived by one sister, Karen L. Shewmaker of Scottsdale, AZ; one brother, Ken (Christy) Shewmaker of Springfield; one aunt; two nieces, Lindsey (Matt) Murphy and Gretchen (Jeff) Orebaugh; two nephews, Nathan and Jesse Dowell and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Keith L. Shewmaker and Clara Lu Shewmaker Davies.

Cynthia was a member of Laurel United Methodist Church. She retired from the State of IL in 2002.

Graveside Service: 12:30 pm, Friday, July 22, 2022 at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Kent Lolling officiating.
