Claire Marie Hughes

Claire Marie Hughes, known as Claire-bear and Birdie-girl, Age 8, of Burleson, Texas passed on to heaven October 18, 2022.

She was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 13, 2014, to parents Chrystofer and Ashton Hughes. She was her sister Amelia’s best friend. Though she did not reach maturity, she touched countless lives with her light in the short years she graced this earth.

She is survived by her sister, Amelia Hughes of Burleson; her parents, Chrystofer and Ashton Hughes of Burleson; her maternal aunts and uncles, Brandi and Jeffery Dyche-Coleman of Tolar, Alexandra and Nathan Culpepper of Robinson, Jr. of Lubbock, and Noah Spence of Roaring Springs; her paternal aunts and uncles, Zachary and Susanna Hughes of Benbrook, Sam Hughes of Washington, and Tabitha Hughes of Fort Worth; her maternal grandparents, Camyle Spence of Tolar and Bobby Spence of Roaring Springs; her paternal grandparents, Scott and Cathy Hughes of Burleson; her maternal great-aunt and uncle Carmyn and David Thom; her paternal great-aunt and uncle, David and Joy Hatch; her maternal great-grandparents, Jim and Norma Coleman; her paternal great-grandparents, William and Carol Hatch; and her many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Sunday, October 23rd at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury, Texas.  Funeral arrangements will be held at 10 AM, October 24th at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury, Texas with a private graveside for close family at the Coleman private cemetery outside of Tolar, Texas. The service will be officiated by minister Aurelio Henlon of Tolar, Texas. Pallbearers will be family, Zachary Hughes, Tabitha Hughes, Jeffery Dyche, Coleman Morrison. Andrew Ruelas, family friend, will be an honorary pallbearer.
