Christeen V. Ener

Christeen V. Ener, 93, of Sherman, IL formerly of St. Louis, MO died at 9:55 am, Monday, January 25, 2021 at Villa Health Care East in Sherman. She was born on February 25, 1927 in Hammond, OK to Marberry and Margaret (Swanner) Burnes.

She is survived by two daughters, Glenda (Mark Seger) Wortley of Springfield and Deborah Ritchie of House Springs, MO; one son, Keith Underwood of Springfield; son-in-law, Gary Doerhoff of St. Elizabeth, MO; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, and one sister, Bernice Heier of West Plains, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sherron Doerhoff and seven siblings.
Christeen enjoyed raising birds, llamas and emus. She was of the Baptist faith. She worked as a lab technician at St. Louis VA Hospital.

Graveside Service: 1 pm, Monday, February 1, 2021 at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions should be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
