Chip Lancaster

Chip Lancaster, 56, of Hendersonville passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Mission Hospital. Chip was born in Athens, Georgia to Troy Lancaster, Sr. and Glenda Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and grandparents. He was a graduate of BHP High School in Belton, SC. and has been self-employed, owning Lancaster Mechanical.
Chip served in the Army National Guard and was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing music and loved both Bluegrass and Blues music. Chip found enjoyment in woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Teresa Lancaster; daughter, Morgan Lancaster Strickland and her husband, Geoffrey of Forest City, NC; son, Garret Minor Lancaster and his wife, Ashley Justice Lancaster of Fairplay, SC; brothers, Toddy Lancaster and his wife, Kathy of Fairview, NC and Dave Lancaster and his wife, Penny of Fletcher, NC; aunt, Cathy; mother-in-law, Nana; sister-in-law, April Campbell; brother-in-law, Richard Minor and was expecting his first grandchild in December.
A celebration of Life will be held at 2:30pm on Friday, June 18, 2021, at Mud Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Greg Mathis officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 prior to the service at the church.
