Charles Richard Robinson IV

Charles Richard Robinson IV was born in St Louis, Missouri on February 10, 1962. He was the second of five children of Charles Richard Robinson III and the second of two children born to Irene Outlaw Robinson. His mother, father, and younger brother, Martin Hibbler preceded him in death.

Charles attended Alta Sita Elementary in East St. Louis, Franklin Middle, and Springfield Senior High in Springfield, IL. He was pursuing a career as a Licensed Paralegal at South Suburban College in South Holland, IL as the first step to becoming a lawyer. To keep his Paralegal skills sharp, he assisted friends with Legal Briefs and Court Appeals. His interests included playing chess, a base guitar, baseball, body building, developing spaceship and other scientific gadgets.

The one word that best describes Charles would be Determined. He loved telling stories of how he saved for his first motorcycle and his first car. His father promised him that if Charles earned the money to pay for it, he could have a car. His mother was not happy about that decision when Charles drove home in his first car. She also did not like his spur of the moment decisions to take off down the highway to E. St. Louis to hang out with old friends. All his friends knew that if you made Charles a promise, he would be determined to make you keep your word. He was extremely intelligent and could match wits with the best of them legally and socially. Charles was a litigator at heart and would not let you leave until you gave up or agreed with his point. Nothing pleased him more than working tireless hours on his legal cases and the legal cases of his friends, most of which were resolved favorably. He would have been an awesome attorney.

It is comforting to know that he was happy at the end with plans of a big weekend celebration with the woman he loved.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory his fiancée “the love of my life” Carmal Shelly; one son, Charles Richard Robinson V born to Randy L. Wells; grandson, Malachi Robinson; granddaughter, Milan Michelle Robinson. His older brother, McHenry S. Robinson IV of Springfield; his younger brother, Mark Hibbler of East St Louis; one sister, Cynthia Hibbler of East St Louis; his niece, Anita Robinson (Ariel Williams) of Springfield; an uncle, McHenry S. Robinson III; two aunts, Lynne Robinson Lewis and Adeline Michele Robinson all of Chicago IL, a sister-in-law at heart, Chrissie Washington of Springfield, favorite cousins Jacqua D. Outlaw of St. Louis and Errick Van Lewis of Chicago, and a host of other cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
