Charles R. Camp “Reggie”

Charles R. “Reggie” Camp, 85 of Hendersonville, died Friday, July 9, 2021, at the Elizabeth House.

A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was the son of the late Robert and Virginia Camp. Charles is also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Camp, a son, Tommy Camp, and a brother, Glenn Camp.

He served in the US Navy and the US Airforce. Charles retired from General Electric. He was a longtime member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years.

Charles is survived by a son, Darric Camp of Hendersonville; two sisters, Dorothy Lunsford of Hendersonville and Frieda Creasman and her husband Bill of Mills River; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Reverend Jim Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
