Charles “Charlie” Brown

In the early morning hours of Thursday, March 24, 2022, Mr. Charles “Charlie” Brown, age 81, passed away at his residence in Etowah, North Carolina. His loving family was by his side. Born in Buncombe County, North Carolina on October 17, 1940, he was the son of the late Charles David Brown and Ethel Anderson Nesbitt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Brown, and Jerry Brown.

Charlie, who was a proud veteran of the United States Army, retired from DuPont following several years of service. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching various types of races. One thing that Charlie truly loved doing, was spending quality time with his family, especially cookouts, and making precious memories.

He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 62 years, Lois Brown; one son, Scott Brown and his wife, Wendy; one daughter, Melanie Brown Armentrout and her husband, Roy; one grandson, Charlie Armentrout; and several friends that he met along his journey.

A private service will be held at a later date. Charlie will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville.
