Charlee Ann Kimm
Terre Haute, Ind.
Charlotte (Charlee) Ann Kimm, Terre Haute, Ind., formerly of Solon, Iowa, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Cobblestone Crossing Health Campus in Terre Haute. Her daughters were able to be at her side as she made the journey home. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 11:00am-1:00 p.m. (EST), with the service following at 1:00pm at World Gospel Church in Terre Haute with a meal after the service. Graveside service will be in Marion, Iowa, at Oak Shade Cemetery on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. (CST).
Charlee was born January 13, 1946, in Newton, Iowa, to Charlotte (O’Connor) Barber and Yvonne Barber. She graduated from Marion High School in Marion, Iowa, in 1964. On December 26, 1965, she married Robert “Bob” Kimm and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years in 2008. Charlee moved to Terre Haute in 2012 from Solon to live closer to her daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren. She was an active member of her local community in many ways, such as treasurer of the East End Ladies Golf League, vice president of Newcomers and Friends, card club, Bible Study Fellowship, widows’ group, Grief Share, election poll volunteering, and various Bible studies and church ministries at World Gospel Church where she was a member. Charlee had a strong faith in the Lord, and this was exemplified with how she treated others. Those who knew her, even for a brief time, certainly felt her kindness, warmth, and humor. Her kind spirit will be missed by family, friends, and loved ones.
She is survived by her daughters, Danielle (Jeff) Bailey and Nicole (Stephen) Toy; grandchildren, Carson (Madison), Gabrielle, Maxwell, Arianna, Ian, and Caleb Bailey and Brodey, Braxton, Kylan, Ansley, and Reagan Toy; brother-in-law Gary Kimm; brother Jim Barber; honorary sister Sharon Bailey; sister-in-law Barbara Kimm; and two nieces, Cathy (Jamie) Krall and children, and Heather (Dave) Dahl and children; and several good friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Kimm; her mother and stepfather, Connie and Bill Short; her father and stepmother Yvonne and Lucille Barber; and sister-in-law Sheri Kimm.
The family would like to especially thank the staff at Cobblestone Crossing Health Campus for their kind and compassionate care, as well as the members of World Gospel Church for their calls, visits, cards, and prayers.
